Sowi Dom Jugów

If you look for accommodation with a mountain view, then "Sowi Dom" house is exactly what you have in mind! This spacious holiday house with 6 bedrooms. Pet owners will certainly be pleased to find out that they can stay here with their dog or other pet.

The location of the house is convenient for those who look for accommodation in serenity, close to nature. It stands on the southern slope of the Wielka Sowa and Kalenica mountains, in the upper part of the village of Jugów, at 500 m a.s.l., and offers a stunning view of the Sowie Mountains (part of the Sudetes range).

Where will I sleep?

Sowi Dom is a spacious and comfortable building, ideal for family holiday or a stay with friends. You can also rent individual rooms here.

The house comprises 6 comfortable bedrooms with bathrooms. All rooms come with beds and wooden furniture to emphasize the house's unique style and character. There is TV and Wi-Fi available in each room. Each room has a private exit to the terrace where guests can admire magnificent panorama of the Sowie Mountains.

So if you decide to spend you holidays in the mountains, Sowi Dom is a great choice. Amazing landscapes and serenity is what you can find here, and no crowds, too.

What will I eat?

Unfortunately we do not provide any board options. However, there is a fully equipped kitchen in the house for your comfort. Next to the kitchen there is a dining room with large dining table, and from the dining area you enter the living room.

There is all necessary equipment in the kitchen to cook and store whatever you bring. There is a stove, oven, blender, toaster, microwave, and a dishwasher. It is all for your comfort while your stay in our house.

There is also a coffee machine to allow you enjoy your morning coffee on the terrace while admiring the mountains and planning your day. Upstairs, there is a small kitchenette where you can easily prepare a quick snack, hot tea or coffee.

In front of the house, there is a roofed barbecue area when you feel like roasted sausages, grilled veggies or meat. This is a great opportunity to have lunch or dinner outdoors as there is a table and chairs on the smaller roofed terrace.

What attractions are available in the Sowi Dom and the area?

If you decide to spend you holidays in the mountains, Sowi Dom is a great choice. Located in a quiet village, Sowi Dom is near the most popular attractions of which most are within a 30 minute drive.

One of the greatest advantages of the house is its space - there is a lot of it in the rooms and downstairs where you have a kitchen, dining room and living room with fireplace, large TV and comfortable sofas and armchairs. In the evening, make yourself comfortable in an armchair, fire up the fireplace and enjoy the company of your loved ones. The house is situated on a vast fenced plot, and has parking space for 7 cars.

The neighbourhood guarantees plenty of opportunities for active leisure. We recommend walking along nearby streams or taking the kids to play in the nearby playground just opposite the resort. In summer, the outdoor swimming pool in Jugów is definitely worth visiting.

Sowi Dom resort and the town of Jugów are excellent for those who value active leisure.

In the Sowie Mountains, you can go cycling as there are many marked and well maintained routes for mountain bikers. You can also easily ride your bike on tourist routes. And remember to look around to see a mouflon, which is a rare occasion. The animals were brought here in 1901, and so far they do not live anywhere else in Poland.

About 2.5 km from the Sowi Dom you will find the Jugowska Pass where the routes up the Wielka Sowa and Kalenica mounts and the Sokola Pass have their beginning. To get there on foot it takes about 30 min. and by car - a few minutes. At the entrance to the routes, there is a car park where you can leave your car.

In winter, we recommend the Jugów Ski Park lifts in Jugów or the Sokolec/Rzeczka ski centre 6 km away. And cross country skiing routes are available in the Jugowska Pass.

It is also worth visiting the Bukowa Chata resort which is now part of the Jugów Sport Park, and the Zygmuntówka hostel. They are within a 15-20 minute walk from Sowi Dom. Near Zygmuntówka, there is a ski lift operating in winter. It is also a good starting point to go up the Wielka Sowa and Kalenica tops. At the top of these hills there are observation towers where you can enjoy the magnificent panorama of the Sudetes.

About 2 km from the Sowi Dom there is the Military Technical Museum - Riese-Molke where you can see the displays of the military technology development and the Project Riese (one aimed to construct German headquarters and factories underground).

Kłodzko is within a 30 minute drive. The town is famous for its stunning old town which has maintained its unique medieval layout and style. Kłodzko's attractions include popular fortress and the amazing underground tourist route.

And the area is rich in military monuments that are among the must-sees of the region, the most important being the former Prussian Fort Srebrna Góra (located about 18 km from Jugów), the Podziemne Miasto Osówka (Underground City Osówka) found about 12 km away, and the Walim Mines "Riese" (11 km away).
