In the heart of the country, outskirts of Ladánybene standing a tree-topped tiny little house.
The dirty road goes next to my grandfather house, which is fringed by corn field, apple forest and walnut tree shade. In the end of the road this little plainsman paradise is waiting for us where my great-grandparents lived their peaceful provincial life...
As a child, I played a lot here...
Dicovered the nature's treasures, snaped the juicy apples, pecked at grapes during harvest... Listened to the oldies chatted on the veranda on sweating summer evenings after a really long day having a glass of last year's rose. Only moth knocks clanged the romance in the light of lantern.
These were real timeless moments....
As an adult, I went back to back to the farm where only tumble-down ruins summoned the nice memories, but the glamor didn't fade, wonder essences remained and brought a resolution itselft.
There are many dreams, thoughts, memories hovered in front of me, finally everything got a new dress. A bit spiced with new, with the modern achievements still kept its rural nature.

Arriving Tulipános tanya, a spacious, fenced parking lot suited for 5 to 6 car is awating our guests. The newly constructed playground and the tiled roof summer-house are easily accessible from the parking lot, where family dinners, birtday parties can be arranged. The little adventurers favourite, a treehouse can be found between the leaves from where they can enjoy the beautifull view. The homestead buildings can accommodate 6-8 person; the newly built „Big house" can host 4-6 guests, and the neighbouring „Old house" is available for 2.

„Big house":

The „Big house" uniqueness is the electricity source what comes from the enviromental friendly and cost efficient solar power placed on the roof. The heat provided by natural gas and wood-burning tile stove in the winter time.
The house interior is designed to keep the cottage atmosphere still combined with modern, clear-out motions.

As we enter into the house, a high ceiling dining room emerges what is separated from the cosy livingroom by a wood-burning tile stove. Resting on the sofa, reading a nice novel, sipping a glass of mulled wine, listening the fire crackling is very heart-warming during the winter. From the fully equiped dine-in kitchen we can have a view to the garden and to the „children paradise" tree-house. The bathroom with a separated toilett is opening from here. Stairs drives you to the second floor, wher two separated bedroom can be found. One of the bedroom has a small window to the kitchen below. In the upper but open livingroom additional two guests can sleep. The rooms are appropriate for couples and individuals, and can be spare-beded per request.

„Old House":

The Old House is just couple of steps away from the Big house and from our courtyard views mini wellness. This is an indipendent tiny cottage what is remade from a wood-shed, and its furniture reveals our gold-handed craftsmans work. The host is real antique lover! All old things hide new ideas for him, and he put them into effect. But the photos speak for themselves! For today the Old house has got a small kitchenette with a romantic wood-burning tile stoved bedroom and bathroom with shower.

The wellness building is part of the homestead what has been rebuilt from an old storage. A small room with shower can be found here. The courtyard views sauna is also in this wellness building for what I simply have no words...
In winter marvelous experience to look out from the sauna when white snow-blanket covers the courtyard and the wood-burning tile stove heats up the tub's water and the rolling vapour dancing a slow waltz with the snoflakes while sitting in the hot nook...
If that is not enough we kindly offer you the winecellar with the attached dining room with furnace for 20 people. Here can be held buiness weekend dinners, stag parties, hen parties, family anniversaries, friendly furnace cookings, small weddings.

Activity:

Several horse programs available in the neighborhood, what are about 15-20 minutes far from Tulipános tanya. A private owned zoo is near at hand.

You can ask us or look at their own site about available programs. Older children can go for cross-country riding.

At cross-country riding guests are judged by a preliminary assessment of how firmly seated on the horse and dependin on the riding level let them out by an escort rider.
Private Zoo (Felsőlajos)
15 minutes from Ladánybene, in Felsőlajos, a private zoo opened its doors on 4th of April, what can be found under the name of Private Zoo.

Transport:

Ladánybene is situated 70 km far from Budapest. You can reach it on M5 highway where take exit Örkény, and go across Örkény and Tatárszentgyörgy.
Tulipános tanya can be approached by public transportation as well. Direct buslines are leaving from Budapest, Népliget bus station.The homestead is just about 15 minutes walk from Ladánybene bus stop.

Registration is from 12:00, log out till 11:00.
Pets are welcome after prior arrangement.
