Őzkút Apartmanház Ólmod

Our apartment house is situated in a natural scenic environment, in a small village at the feet of Kőszeg, called Ólmod. Ólmod can be found on the territory of the Írottkő Natúrpark, 3 km from Kőszeg as the crow flies and 8 km on public road.

As the village was built along the border lane, it was closed from the outside world for a long time. Due to this fact the village is silent and it has crystal clear air.

Our apartments are equipped with kitchen, fridge, bathroom with toilet and shower, sunny living room with TV and bedroom. Our guests can relax on the attached balconies too. In order to relax and have fun, ping-pong table, badminton set and barbecue options are available as well. Also a small vegetable garden is attached to the big garden that can be viewed. We do pay attention for children. They can play on a semi functional playground.

Our guests can try Nordic walking on the spot or in the surrounding area.

There is a separate parking option for our guests. Compared to the neighboring villages and cities, public safety is the best in Ólmod.

The guests can choose from different type of programs. Should you be fan of the mountains, you can visit and climb to Írottkő, Kalaposkő, Hétforrás, or the Sebastian waterfall at Schneeberg in the neighboring Austria. If you like running a bike, the lie of the land is perfect. The nearest renting place can be found in Kőszeg.

You can hunt or collect mushrooms, acorns or chestnuts in the surrounding forests.

Should you like hiking, you can visit the famous cellars in Cák, the castle in Kőszeg or the Ó-ház lookout tower in the Kőszeg mountains. You can also hike to the castles in Léka or Güssing, the Sissi chapel at Schneeberg (both can be found in Austria).

Guests, who like visiting sights, can travel to Szombathely, which is famous for its sights from the Roman time.

Should you be fan of festivals or theatres, there are many possibilities. The Savaria Carnival is held in August each year in Szombathely. The Várszínház (Castle theatre) in Kőszeg has a colourful program each year. The village Velem organizes the very famous chestnut festivals each autumn.

The surrounding area offers various bathing options. You can visit the spa of Sárvár, relax in the medicinal bath of Bük, or in aqua park of Szombathely. The famous spa of Lutzmannsburg or the bath of Bad-Tatzmannsdorf in Austria are also within a small reach.

The ski areas in Austria (St. Corona, Mönichkirchen, Semmering) can be reached from Ólmod easily.

Prices: 8500 HUF/2 persons/night, 10.000 HUF/3 persons/night, 12.000 HUF/4 persons/night. There is no tourist tax. Allowances: up to 2 years free of charge. Extra services for free of charge: cot, high chair (should be agreed upon in advance)
